POTTERS WHEEL CLASSES

Come & have some fun throwing pots on the wheel

We have 5 potters wheels in the studio, the sessions are for adults aged 16 and over & are

suitable for beginners

Please inform us at the time of booking if you have hip or mobility issues as some of our wheels may not be suitable for you.

1 & 2 HOUR WHEEL CLASS £25pp Per hour

Sessions Run:

Tues to Sat 10am or 1.30pm

Our 1hr session is a quick taster session for those who have never thrown before.

You'll get a ball of clay and our turors will guide you through the basic steps to make a pot, you will then get a second ball of clay and some time to practice on the wheel yourself.

There is plenty of hands on support & verbal prompts throughout.

You will make 1-2 pots during the session

Our 2 hour session starts as the 1st, but then we move on to explore other shapes. You will make up to 4-5 pots.

We provide aprons, Dress in comfy clothes, you will be squatting around a wheel so it's best not to wear skirts/dresses :)

Short nails make it easier to throw.

What happens with my creations?

You can take them home to air dry after the session

OR

We can fire your pots (If they are viable) at a cost of £3 per pot, they will then be ready for collection 3 weeks later.

You can then either paint them at home with acrylics or glaze them in a 2hr return glazing session for £15.

HALF DAY WHEEL EXPERIENCE £55pp

Sessions Run:

Tues to Sat 10am or 1.30pm

We start by showing you with assistance how centre and pull a pot on the potters wheel - you then get a second ball of clay and have time to practice by yourself. There is plenty of hands on support & verbal prompts throughout.

You will make 2-3 pots during the session.

The remaining time is spent at the work bench with some more clay to add surface decoration to your creations.

You may want to add handles to make a cup or jug, or you may wish to change & alter the shape of your thrown pots. We have lots of cutters, moulds & stamps that can be used to make your pot personal & unique.

We provide aprons, Dress in comfy clothes, you will be squatting around a wheel so it's best not to wear skirts/dresses :)

Firing of up to 3 of your creations are included in the price. Any additional pieces are £3 per pot.

Payments are processed manually, please allow up to 24 hours for processing.

Payments received after midday Saturday are processed when we re-open on Tuesday morning

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellation & full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before your class start.

Reschedules can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the start of your class.

Unfortunatley life events are not a rare occurrence for us & as a small business we can no longer sustain the loses that these incur. We do appreciate that sometimes-unforeseen circumstances may mean you cant attend your session. We are happy for you to send a friend/family to take your place in this event.
