I'm happy to take commissions for your beloved pet or other animals.
I also create small memorial creations for Childrens small pets, that can be personalised with your pets name & the date on
My sculptures are aimed at being a representation the animal, I use quirks, personality & poses along with the colour glazing to make the sculptures personal.
Using stoneware clay, all the sculptures are made with my hands & a few simple tools
The process takes 4-6 weeks.
Medium aprox 20cm £50
Large aprox 30cm £80
Small Memorial Commissions
Aprox 18cm £28
Use the contact form to contact me with your interest for a sculpture. I will then email you and start the discussion process.
For Commission pieces I will need at least four photos - front, back & both sides. Any photos that show personality, poses or unique features are really helpful.
For Memorial Commissions, a couple of photos are needed if available.
We discuss the pose & finish that you want & you pay a deposit of £20 for a medium or £40 for a large piece. Once work has begun deposits are non refundable.
Once made the sculpture is left to dry out for 2-3 weeks before having its first firing. All sizes are aprox. The clay will dry & shrink during the drying & firing process.
Once fired it is then coloured, glazed & finished before being fired again. Each fire takes 8 hours, with a further 8-10 hours for the kiln to cool down.
Once completed you pay your remaining balance & the sculpture can be posted out or collected from the studio. Postage is not included in the costs.
