This 1hr taster session is about having a go and embracing the wonky & wobbly pots - Throwing takes time to master, it's about letting go, getting messy and having fun.
You'll get a ball of clay and are guided through the basic steps to make a pot. You will explore centering, opening up the clay & pulling up the clay walls - Trying to make a cylinder.
Once you have done your first pot with assistance, you will then get a second ball of clay and have time to self practice the steps.
There is lots of verbal support and hands on assistance throughout the class.
We aim for 1-2 pots during the session.
2HR WHEEL CLASS £50pp

A 2hr guided class to introduce you to throwing pottery, great for beginners wanting to learn a new hobby or those looking to refresh their skills.
Session starts as the 1 hr session. In the 2nd hour we spend time looking at where you need help, giving you tips and advice on how to progress.
More time to practice the technique.
We aim for 3-4 pots during the session.
2HR WHEEL & SURFACE DECORATION £50pp
(pm sessions only)
18 years+
This starts as the 1hr taster session.
Once you have made your thrown pots, you'll then move over to the workbench to add surface decorations to your creations.
You may want to add handles to make a cup or jug, or you may wish to change & alter the shape of your thrown & handmade pots. We have lots of cutters, moulds & stamps that can be used to make your pot personal & unique.
We aim to make 2 pots during the session.
