SIX WEEK FLEXIBLE POTTERY COURSE £150
We run a 6 week beginners course
Its a great fun & friendly introduction to the various methods of working with clay.
Sessions Run:
Tues to Sat 10am or 1.30pm
Monday to Friday Sessions: don't need to be attended on the same day or time each week - fab for those that work shifts. You can attend Weekly, fornightly or by other arrangement. The course must be completed within 3 months from your start date.
Saturday Sessions: Run consecutive weeks
GENERAL COURSE INFO:
- The first 4 weeks are tutor led, making an item set by the course tutor, for the purpose of teaching the required skill set, in the available time frame available. You will be able to add your own unique finish to the items.
- In week 5 you explore our own ideas to make a clay creation, you'll draw upon the skills learned during the previous weeks-This session is not tutor lead, but advice & support is on hand.
- Clay & Bisque firing of all your work is included.
- Unfortunatley onced booked, missed sessions cant be refunded or rescheduled, so please ensure that you can attend the session before booking.
- The sessions are valid for 3 months from your first visit. Your course must be completed within this time frame.
This course is for beginners, We will teach you the different methods of working with clay through various projects, set by the course tutor.
Week 1: Coils You'll learn how to make and then build a simple pot using coils of clay
Week 2: Pinch Learn how to pinch various forms, before making a pinch pot creation.
Week 3: Wheel Learn the steps to wheel throwing before adding some surface decoration to your pots
Please inform us at the time of booking if you have hip or mobility issues as some of our wheels may not be suitable for you.
Week 4: Slab We show you how to prep & make an item from either a single or multi slabs of clay in this session.
Week 5: Exploring Your own ideas Tutor led you'll make one of our studio examples from the covered methods of building.
Week 6: Glazing You will glaze your 2 favourite items from the course.
(other items may be glazed in return glaze sessions if you wish, 2 hr session from £15)

COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation & full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before your class start.
Reschedules for the first session can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the start of your class.
Future Booked course sessions can be transerred to another date, a maximum of two times during your course, and if there is a minimum of 24 hours' notice. We can not reschedule booked sessions with less than 24 hours notice regardless of circumstance.
Unfortunately, as a small business we can no longer sustain the amount of short notice cancellations.
