SIX WEEK POTTERY COURSE £150
We run a 6 week beginners course
Its a great fun & friendly introduction to the various methods of working with clay.
6 Wk Flexible Course: Sessions don't need to be attended on the same day or time each week - fab for those that work shifts. You can attend Weekly, fornightly or by other arrangement. The course must be completed within 3 months from your start date.
GENERAL COURSE INFO:
- For adults aged 16 and over
- The first 4 weeks are tutor led, making an item set by the course tutor, for the purpose of teaching the required skill set, in the available time frame available. You will be able to add your own unique finish to the items.
- In week 5 you explore our own ideas to make a clay creation, you'll draw upon the skills learned during the previous weeks-This session is not tutor lead, but advice & support is on hand.
- Clay & Bisque firing of all your work is included.
- Unfortunatley onced booked, missed sessions cant be refunded or rescheduled, so please ensure that you can attend the session before booking.
- The sessions are valid for 3 months from your first visit. Your course must be completed within this time frame.
FLEXIBLE COURSE SESSIONS RUN TUES TO SAT:
- 10-12pm
- 1.30-3.30pm
During each session there may be a mix of people at various stages of the course, once booked you can start at the next available space. Weekdays this is usually within a couple of weeks, weekends are booked around 8-12 weeks in advance.
6 WEEK FLEXIBLE COURSE £150
This course is for beginners, We will teach you the different methods of working with clay through various projects, set by the course tutor.
Week 1: Coils You'll learn how to make and then build a simple pot using coils of clay
Week 2: Wheel Learn the steps to wheel throwing before adding some surface decoration to your pots
Please inform us at the time of booking if you have hip or mobility issues as some of our wheels will not be suitable for you.
Week 3: Slab We show you how to prep & make an item from either a single or multi slabs of clay in this session.
Week 4: Pinch & Sculpture Learn how to pinch pots as a base, before exploring how to shape and model clay, Making one of our potter animals or gnomes.
Week 5: Exploring your own ideas using the skills learned during the first 4 weeks.
Week 6: Glazing two of your favourite items from the course
(other items may be glazed in a return glaze session if you wish, 2 hr session £15)

COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation & full refund or reschedules can be obtained up to 4 weeks before your class start.
Within 4 weeks notice, We have a clear non refundable policy to ensure that we cover our costs, protect the tutors and the ongoing viability of the sessions.
Booked course sessions can be transerred to another date, a maximum of two times during your course, and as if there is a minimum of 24 hours' notice. We can not reschedule booked sessions with less than 24 hours notice regardless of circumstance.
Unfortunately, as a small business we can no longer sustain the amount of short notice cancellations.
