POTTERY TASTER CLASSES

Our pottery taster classes are a great introduction to the fabulous world of clay hand building

General Info -

Suitable for beginners, No prior knowledge is necessary.
Those aged 14-15 years may attend some of the classes with a participating adult.
Maximum of 6 persons per session.
This is a 2.5hr Hand building session & does not include time on the potters wheel.

COIL TASTER CLASS £50

We show you step by step how to make a decorative pot using coils of clay. We demonstrate the build & how to attach & shape your creation. We will show you various finishing techniques so you can add your own finishing touches, to make your creation unique.

SLAB TASTER CLASS £50

We show you step by step how to make a clay planter using multi slabs of clay. We demonstrate the build & how to attach, shape & blend the clay.

We then show you a variety of finishing techniques so you can then add your own finishing touches, to make your creation unique.

GNOMES £50

Those aged 14+ years can attend with participating adults.

Join us making a whimsical gnomes, great for the home & garden. We show you step by step how to

pinch out the body, and how to add various features. Add feet, hats, flowers, faces- you can really let your imagination run wild in this class

FAIRY HOUSE £50

Join us making a magical Fairy House. We show you step by step how to prepare and build the main construction, before showing you all the various finishes that can be applied to make your creation unique.

CUP & BISCUIT PLATE £50

We will guide you step by step how to make a cup from a slab of clay, and a plate using formers. We will show you various textures & finishing techniques so you can add your own finishing touches, to make your creations unique.

WILD THING POT £50

Those aged 14+ years can attend with participating adults.

Come & join us making a fabulous little pot that can be used for a million different uses.

We show you step by step how to make the foundation using coils of clay. We demonstrate the build & how to attach & shape your creation. We will show you various finishing techniques so you can add your own finishing touches, to make your own monster pot.

MOOD LIGHT £50

Explore slab work and carving in this class making a great mood light.

We show you step by step how to make a slab pot in clay. We demonstrate the build & how to attach & shape your creation. We will show you various finishing techniques so you can add your own finishing touches, to make your creation unique, before its finished by carving out the holes.

SCULPTING CLASS £50

Making 1 of our potter animals- Choose from Highland cow, Fox, Hare, Cat, Dog, Dragon Or Elephant.

Note: All participants in your group must make the same item due to the step by step nature of the class

In This class you'll be guided step by step through the process of your creation by one of our tutors. We usually start by forming a pinched structure on which to add the features of your chosen animal.

WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR CREATIONS?

Materials & Firing is included ready for collection 3 weeks later.

You can then either paint them at home with acyrils OR

Return to the studio for a glaze session £15pp

Please note:

We can only keep finished pots for 6 weeks from the date of your session. If you cant get back in this time frame, you are welcome to take home your creations & allow them to air dry
